Scott Clayton

Scott is a native of Bethel and is a graduate of Bethel Public Schools.  Scott earned a BA in History from WCSU where he was a member of Phi Alpha Theta Honors Society and President of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.  Scott also has a MS in Secondary Education from the University of Bridgeport and a Sixth Year Certificate of Advanced Study from Sacred Heart University.  He is also a graduate of the Education Policy Fellowship Program affiliated with the Institute for Educational Leadership.  As a former member of the CT Army National Guard, Scott is a graduate of the United States Army Non-Commissioned Officer’s Academy.  He has been a high school administrator since 2005.  Scott is also an avid competitor in triathlons of various distances, including an ironman.  Scott and his wife Caryn are active members in the community with organizations such as the Scotty Fund, Bethel Education Foundation, Rockwell PTO, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and various youth sports.  They have three children and are members of St. Mary’s parish.
